Alpha is a documentary that explores what it means to be an ‘alpha male’ in the modern world.

Following three men who suffered severe spinal cord injuries in their twenties and thirties – former professional rugby player Ed Jackson, former soldier Darren Edwards and former adventurer Niall McCann – the team grapple with their new identities as they attempt to cross the largest ice cap in Western Europe, unsupported, on cross-country skis, united by grit, determination and humour.
